Jeff Hordley has been in Emmerdale for two decades.

Jeff Hordley, who portrays Cain Dingle in Emmerdale, is in the spotlight for leaving the ITV Soap Opera for the second time in 2024.

He has been nominated for the British Soap Award for Best Actor three times for his role in Emmerdale.

He gained worldwide fame in 2000 after appearing in the British soap opera Emmerdale and joined the production of Mother Goose at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

He also portrayed Napoleon in George Orwell‘s classic Animal Farm at Leed’s West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2008 and Mick in Harold Pinter‘s play The Caretaker at Bolton’s Octagon Theatre.

Jeff Hordley Is Leaving Emmerdale Again In 2024

Jeff Hordley joined the cast of Emmerdale as Cain Dingle in 2000 but announced his decision to leave the soap opera in 2006 to pursue other projects.

However, producers kept his chance to return to the show open, hoping he would return.

Jeff rejoined the opera in 2009 and impressed the audience with his remarkable acting skills.

His role is known as the bad boy of the Dingle family, and the storylines focused on discovering his uncle Zak Dingle, portrayed by Steve Halliwell, is his father.

His decision to quit again has shocked Emmerdale’s fans and followers.

Cain’s younger son, Kyle, in the soap opera, took the life of Al Chapman, and he is taking the blame to protect his son.

The truth eventually came out, and he decided to leave the village to give his son a fresh start, who had a tough life.

On the other hand, Jeff has been hospitalized three times for Crohn’s disease. He experienced its symptoms at age 20 and was diagnosed in 1996.

It might also be the reason for his time and again a departure from the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Furthermore, if his acting career crumbles down, he has a backup career as a DJ.

DJing has been my out-of-work acting job. You always need something else. DJing was always mine, and it still might be.

Jeff Hordley told ITV’s Lorraine.
